Today every website must be completely hosted over HTTPS, without having part of its contents loaded over HTTP (i.e. having scripts loaded insecurely) or the user will be vulnerable to some attacks and surveillance.

If your WordPress website hosting company issues ssl certificates by default like a2hosting does you can easily configure your website to run via https in two easy steps.

First, set your WordPress Address URL and Site Address URL to HTTPS in Setting and then General

Then connect to your website using an FTP client and add to your wp-config.php file in the site’s root directory these three lines below. And don’t forget to replace yourwebsite.com with your own domain.

define('WP_HOME','https://yourwebsite.com');
define('WP_SITEURL','https://yourwebsite.com');
$_SERVER['HTTPS'] = 'on';

This simply code above will allow you to avoid issues with “Too Many Redirects”.

Save the file and upload it back to your web server. Now try to access your WordPress site.
